In this book, my illustrations accentuate an enchanting story by Josephine Apraku about saying goodbye and being sad, about losing and keeping, about missing and remembering.

Josephine Apraku is an African studies scholar, author, and trainer for intersectional racism-critical educational work. As a lecturer, Josephine Apraku has taught at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences and the Humboldt University of Berlin, among others. Josephine Apraku has also written as a columnist for magazines such as Missy Magazine, Edition F, and the Berliner Tagesspiegel.
