For the essay written by the author and podcaster Lukas Kiemele, I envisioned photographs with a clear, static background and blurred moving objects. In reversing this effect, I want to depict the absurdity of our world: The still standing humans become distorted, while fast-moving cars appear stationary. The polished row of palm trees and windowless buildings symbolize an idealized yet soulless world of capitalism.
